Transformation and Innovation in Public Health
Transformation and Innovation in Public Health, a new JPHMP supplemental issue by the Public Health National Center for Innovations, a division of the Public Health Accreditation Board, highlights stories, examples, and leadership in public health transformation. As authors Paul Kuehnert et al state in their commentary on the FPHS as a roadmap for transformation, “We are at a crucial moment in [US] public health,” and this supplemental issue highlights key conversations, needs, assets and strategies to leverage this moment in time to reimagine and build what’s needed for an equitable and just public health system. You’ll read articles from various perspectives in this issue, including national subject matter experts, health department leaders and practitioners, and public health system experts and supporters. As you read this issue, we hope you’ll be inspired, and encouraged to dig into these other leading practices to transform public health together.
