Anthony Blake, DrPH, MPH

Dr. Anthony Blake is Director of the DrPH Program and Assistant Professor of Environmental, Agricultural, and Occupational Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Public Health. His career spans industrial hygiene, infection prevention, social work, and academic leadership, providing a strong foundation in applied public health practice.

His work focuses on implementation science, environmental and occupational health, and academic leadership, with an emphasis on translating evidence into practice in real-world settings. He has contributed to work on occupational health, infection prevention, biosafety, and public health systems improvement.

Dr. Blake brings extensive applied experience to his scholarship, having worked in governmental and healthcare settings to address occupational and infectious disease risks. He is committed to advancing practice-based research and strengthening the public health workforce through dissemination, education, and leadership. Dr. Blake received his Doctorate in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from UNMC and a master’s degree in Public Health from UNMC in Environmental, Agricultural, and Occupational Health.
