The Journal of Public Health Management and Practice publishes articles which focus on evidence-based public health practice and research. The journal is a bi-monthly peer-reviewed publication guided by a multidisciplinary editorial board of administrators, practitioners and scientists. The Journal of Public Health Management and Practice publishes in a wide range of population health topics including research to practice; emergency preparedness; bioterrorism; infectious disease surveillance; environmental health; community health assessment, chronic disease prevention and health promotion, and academic-practice linkages. JPHMP also publishes a number of peer-reviewed special supplements and/or special topical sections in the Journal each year that are sponsored by organizations interested in promulgating their work. Our mission is to advance and disseminate impactful, practice-based evidence to inform initiatives and policies to improve population health. We welcome submissions from public health researchers, academics, policy makers, and practitioners.

Accepted papers will be made available on the JPHMP website approximately eight weeks after final acceptance as a publish-ahead-of-print article. They will also be indexed in the appropriate databases (ie, PubMed) at this time. Final articles will then be published in the next available issue of the Journal. Read our Author Guidelines.
