Matthew Fifolt, PhD
Dr. Matthew Fifolt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Organization at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. Additionally, Dr. Fifolt serves as the Director of the Survey Research Unit and Senior Evaluator of the Applied Evaluation and Assessment Collaborative. Dr. Fifolt is Principal Investigator of numerous state and federal grants and cooperative agreements including the Alabama Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS); Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) for Alabama Medicaid and ALLKids; National Core Indicators – Aging and Disabilities (NCI-AD); Alabama Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring Systems (PRAMS), and PRAMS for the states of Arkansas, Connecticut, Montana, and Texas.
Additionally, Dr. Fifolt serves as the Lead Evaluator for the Deep South Center for Occupational Health and Safety, Co-principal investigator for the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program, and Evaluator for the Region IV Public Health Training Center. Drawing on his expertise in program evaluation and assessment, Dr. Fifolt’s research centers on quality and program improvement.
