Kathleen L. Egan, PhD, MS
Kathleen L. Egan, PhD, MS, is an Associate professor in the Department of Implementation Science in the Division of Public Health Sciences at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She holds a joint appointment in the department of Social Sciences and Health Policy, is core faculty in the Maya Angelou Research Center for Healthy Communities, and a member of the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center and Center for Addiction Research. Her overarching research agenda is dedicated to reducing harms associated with substance use through the implementation of interventions and policies within medical, community and academic settings. She is experienced in community engagement, intervention development, implementation science, and program evaluation in the behavioral sciences. She has secured research funding from prestigious institutions such as the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
