Patricia MacCubbin, MS
Patricia MacCubbin, MS, President and CEO of Research Ethics Group, has over 20 years of human research subject protections program experience in diverse IRB settings, and experience as a public health researcher. Her IRB experience covers social and behavioral research institutions, academic medical centers, and commercial IRBs. She is a consultant for Kinetiq, a division of Quorum IRB.
She has served in leadership positions: Vice President and Head of Board Operations at Schulman Associates IRB, and Executive Director of the Office of Research at The City University of New York. At CUNY she was responsible for the University’s 21 IRBs on 18 campuses. She served as the Director of the IRBs at the NYS Department of Health and the University of Utah. She is the Consulting Editor for Human Subjects Protections on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice.
She has served on the ACRP Ethics Committee from 2014-2017 and was the committee chair from 2016-2017. She served on planning committees for the PRIM&R annual meetings and as a member of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Developers Group. Since 2010, she has been the senior consultant for the Scientist Center for Animal Welfare.
