Meenakshi (Meena) G. Brewster, MD, MPH, FAAFP

Dr. Meenakshi Brewster is a board-certified family physician and public health leader, currently serving as the Health Officer for St. Mary’s County Health Department in Maryland. In this role, Dr. Brewster oversees public health programs and services aimed at improving the health and well-being of county residents, including disease prevention, health promotion, and emergency preparedness initiatives.

With extensive experience in both clinical medicine and public health administration, Dr. Brewster is recognized for her commitment to advancing health equity and fostering community partnerships. She holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP). Dr. Brewster’s leadership has been instrumental in guiding local responses to public health challenges and promoting innovative strategies to address the needs of diverse populations.
