The Editor’s Podcast: March 2019 Issue and PH WINS
The Editor’s Podcast with Dr. Lloyd F. Novick will appear with each new issue of the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice and will offer a closer look at the articles published in the latest issues with guest appearances by authors, guest editors, and others.
In this episode of the Editor’s Podcast, Dr. Novick looks at articles appearing in the March 2019 issue of the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice, including a lead editorial that outlines a strategic action model to combat preemption, a commentary that looks at the Baldrige performance excellence approach as a framework for systematic improvement of organizational performance, a report on the reproducibility of research, two studies on climate change, and the Public Health Workforce Interests and Needs Survey (PH WINS 2017), which is the subject of a new supplement issue of the journal, sponsored by the de Beaumont Foundation and ASTHO. This is the largest supplement JPHMP has ever published, and is chock full of information on the state of the public health workforce.

I am not aware of any articles on this subject. You could do a search on google scholar. Another source is the community guide for preventive services who has done a systematic review on alcohol. It is available at http://www.thecommunityguide.org
Dear Dr. Novick,
Thank you for the preemption editorial. My request is for an article addressing underage alcohol consumption, specifically the parents’ abilities to communicate adolescent temperance. Thank you so much for your Public Health Management & Practice journal.
Warmly,
Bruce
